AmeriCast's castings include large mining trucks, locomotives and energy equipment. The company has five business units in North America.
AmeriCast was acquired by Castle Harlan Partners IV on November 21, 2006. Bradken, the leading steel foundry for mining and locomotive
equipment in Australia and a former portfolio company of the CHAMP I funds, is a minority investor in the Company.
