Universal Compression

Universal Compression is one of the world's largest providers of natural gas compression services, primarily to the energy industry. Its core business is the rental of compression units used in all facets of natural gas production, transmission and distribution, from wellhead to end-user. It also provides maintenance, repair, spare parts and installation services, and fabricates and sells compressor units ranging from 100 to 5,000 horsepower for specific customer needs. The company has grown organically and by acquisition. While the bulk of its business is domestic, the company also has a growing international presence, with operations in Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Peru, Venezuela, Colombia, Australia, Thailand and South Africa. Universal Compression stock trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol UCO.
