Caribbean Restaurants Holdings, Inc.

Caribbean Restaurants Holdings, Inc. (CRI), which Castle Harlan acquired in July 2004, is Puerto Rico's largest franchisee of quick service restaurants, operating 165 Burger King restaurants under an exclusive territorial development agreement with Burger King Corporation. CRI is the most profitable and third largest franchisee in the worldwide Burger King system and has been in business in Puerto Rico for more than 40 years, longer than any other chain on the island. It is one of the few markets worldwide where Burger King consistently outperforms McDonald's. CRI's Burger King units benefit from nearly universal brand awareness and a skilled and experienced management team.

"Our association with Castle Harlan is summarized in one word: Success. Castle Harlan brought to us extensive operating and branding experience and its broad knowledge of the restaurant business and helped us immeasurably to add to the value of our company."
